I have struggled with my weight since childhood. Up, down, rotund, and quasi-thin - I have yoyoed with the best of them. It is not a game that I enjoy but unfortunately, I have played it on numerous occasions. Today, hopefully I will start back on the road to healthy and (dare I say it?) thin.
The lemonade diet is my initial go to health and diet aid. It is my aim that through sustained effort, I will have cleansed my system and lost a few pounds (ahem more than a few pounds hopefully) by default. If all goes well, I hope to lose 15 pds at the end of my 5 day cleanse. Is this preposterous? Do I have my head in the clouds when I consider this number as a possible goal - I can always wish!
Unfortunately, I do not seem to have all the ingredients to begin on my master cleanse journey... I wonder: can I substitute honey for the maple syrup? I have the lemons and the cayenne pepper but no maple syrup. Does this warrant a trip to the grocery store. I will have to send someone since my RA is flaring at the present. Oh duck!

Lightbulb
The wind howled relentlessly and I anxiously huddled in my living room watching the lights flicker in and out. It is such an odd feeling to watch and wait for something as mundane as a lightbulbs demise but watch and wait I did.
Now, I dont usually watch light bulbs on stormy nights. Lightbulbs die all over the world every day but this lightbulb held the meaning of what my life would look like for the next week. Heck, my fate possibly rested on whether or not this light bulb would fizzle and die. And so I watched.
My eyes closed and I awoke scared out of my mind that the world had crumbled around me. My anxiety was quickly doused upon realizing that the lightbulb shone bright and steady. We were safe. Hurricane Sandy did not claim us as it had claimed so many others. My lightbulb stood as testament to the strength of our haven.

Costumes!
Costume buying is such an exciting time of year! It is your opportunity to reflect your cheesy or dramatic personality without fear of repercussion by your peers. Or perhaps costume buying is the complete opposite for you in that it is a time for you to step outside of your normally sedate life to portray something sexy, chivalrous, or silly. Whatever your reasoning, I am sure that costume buying is on your mind.
My go to store is party city. Why? Well you can both return for a refund and try on at various locations. Although I have been bamboozled by one or two party city's... My overall experience with the chain has been positive. Yay to Halloween!

Halloween costume time! Oh my!
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! I love this time of year! Full of fun and fear and more fun... It's spooktastic! My daughter loves it as well. She asks every day if she can put on her bat girl costume which is just plain adorable on her! My only complaint - how very thin the costume is! I am wracking my brain over how I can bulk up her costume without taking away from its cuteness factor! I don't want to cover it with a coat but I don't want her to freeze either! Hrmh...

Mom on a mission!: Proud Mama Syndrome vs RA
My daughter is a genius! Well, very close to genius status. She is 33 months old, nearly three yes, but has been performing well above her age level since she was a 7 month old. Today, she can speak in full sentences and utilizes an extensive vocabulary to get her poin across. She is a jokster - and has a number of jokes in her backpack. And in terms of general knowledge she can count forward and backwards to 20 without aid. She can identify her colors, numbers, shapes, and her name as well. She knows how to say her ABCs and can sing a number of nursery rhymes independently. She knows when her birthday is and can tell you where she lives. This is just the tip of the iceberg people. Proud Mama Syndrome!
